I'm working on a couple of projects at the moment - cards for christmas and 2 poster ideas. Here's a sneak peek:

My cousin Caroline recently announced her engagement to her boyfriend Ashley, so I painted a card for them (watercolour and acrylic).
A drawing based upon the poem "A Wind Has Blown The Rain Away and Blown" by e. e. cummings.
I needed somewhere to hang my hoop earrings and rings so I painted a piece of board and screwed cup hooks into it. I guess it seems quite different from the sort of thing I have in my portfolio, but I've always painted wooden items (from chests of drawers to matryoshka dolls) for friends and family so it is something I find easy and satisfying. I'm quite into William Morris and Owen Jones' Chinese Ornament patterns at the moment so I just painted straight onto the board this floral design. It's a little bit cute and housewifey but I think it works.
I have just started a new project with talented sisters Hannah Hunter-Kelm and Ella Dickinson. The plan is to post a book back and forth and alter it to create a piece of artwork - we were inspired by an altered book project by Phoebe Wahl, and I hope it will be both fun and challenging to make something together. The book we are using is a second-hand copy of Kenneth Grahame's 'Dream Days', partly picked because of its beautiful illustrations by Ernest H. Shepard (most famous for his drawings for Winnie-the-Pooh) which I think will be interesting to work around and incorporate into our own images. Here are the first few pages I've worked on, plus a photo of the envelope I'm using to send it on to Hannah.
I've been going for walks with my parents over the last few weekends, many of which have been through woodland. I'm always inspired to draw or paint by trees - this is a recent painting on that theme. (gouache, acrylic, watercolour, pencil)
