I collect (/hoard) paper and images but I don't collage as much as I would like. Here are some collage pieces that I've done fairly recently. The last piece is inspired by the 'Schwitters in Britain' exhibition that was on at Tate Britain in the spring (particularly Untitled (With an Early Portrait of Kurt Schwitters) and 47. 15 Pine Trees c 26.)

A drawing of an apsara (Buddhist/Hindu mythological female spirit of the clouds and water) inspired by a print by Katsushika Hokusai.
A drawing based on the poem 'Night Shift' by Helen Mort.
I needed somewhere to hang my hoop earrings and rings so I painted a piece of board and screwed cup hooks into it. I guess it seems quite different from the sort of thing I have in my portfolio, but I've always painted wooden items (from chests of drawers to matryoshka dolls) for friends and family so it is something I find easy and satisfying. I'm quite into William Morris and Owen Jones' Chinese Ornament patterns at the moment so I just painted straight onto the board this floral design. It's a little bit cute and housewifey but I think it works.
Check out the link below - earlier this year I worked on the set for short film 'Orbit Ever After', commissioned by the BFI and written and directed by my talented friend Jamie Stone - this is the trailer. I'm really excited to see the full length film which should be out this summer.
